Moving image week2 : Video Analysing (1)

The video come from music band Slipknot. The characters of band are pretty dark and eval. Also that is the reason why people wearing the monster masks to describe their band and music.

In this video I can see many video techniques. For example, there are many close shot about their masks. We also can tell they try to make us think of that they are not normal human beings from the how the voice come out from their throat also the fire around them when they are playing the music. 

Slow motion is another good way to describe the heavy mental band because they need to play like crazy and psychopath. Also that is what their fans what to see. 

The over shoulder shot is to make sure people can see the whole band from one person and it is the way to showing the whole band members to play the music with their movement.

Creativity week1

Today we have a new course called creativity which is a pretty good class for us working as groups. The task of the class is using the stuff teachers gave us to protect an egg falling from second floor to the ground. It shows different type of skill of art. It is pretty interesting although our egg broken.  

I realise how important to collect everyone's idea into an object. I hope we have more chance to study like that.

Moving image week 1: cutting and editing clips

The first one is the tralier of a classic movie Snatch by Gay Ritchie. The second video is the original trailer also the last one is the part of the movie. It tells us about the background of two main characters Turkish and Tommy.

The original trailer does not tell us the story straight away. It is one of the technique they always use on the movies. I changed the whole story line makes people can easily understand what happens on the movie.

Firstly I used a lot of original parts on my video because it is just so good to presenting the characters in the movie. The sense they used describe the personality of characters pretty well that is why I do not want to change that.

I did not editing very good for my part but I learned lots of skills by asking teacher and classmate especially Jackson(Thanks for that bratha). I will improve my editing skill during this term finally.
