Workshop: Moving Image Lighting Video

The lighting excise we made based on two lights. The main light is located next to the door which facing the actors' faces. The other light we used is a small table one that we put it on a high chair. The reason why we use this one is that we need a weak light to the opposite angle to actor and also bleed the background.

It is a little bit to set up the lights because we want light helping us shows the red colour and faces of actors to make it more looks like mafia sense. But it came up not too bad but we need to practice more about how to focus their face when camera moving. The music is match this sense very much and that is a good experience for this video.

Workshop: Moving Image Interview with Audio Editing

This video I made based on a tattoo session of me which is the first tattoo I did on someone's body. The sense I edited in is a sense that I am drawing my tattoo design.

This video is the first one I did with keyframe controlling of music and mixing up with audio. The video cakes up is not too bad. I did not put effect on because it is good to keep the original video and also want to make it like a documentary.

Also my English needs to be improved and that will makes my video looks and sounds much better than this one.

This is a good video technically but the whole theme is about religion. So do not look at the video if you are a Christian. I will analysing this video in film area.

Actually it is a good video with a great contrast and story line.

Bright and dark shoot make the a great contrast. And slow motion of god jumping up shows a beautiful feeling of shoot. The devil shoot from a low angle shows that she is powerful.

I like the editor uses reverse to show audiences that liquid come from the devil's hand. Also the music match this sense makes audiences feel a little bit scary.

Also using reverse plus normal motion to showing devil's power. And all the dancing sense shoot by a very low angle. The certain also match the dancing and music.

These two senses also make a great contrast by putting different ways of the cross, wall and lights of the cross. That is the most amazing sense in this video because black wall to white wall also contrast to light cross and black cross. That last couple mins shows how weak of the god.

The last sense shows devil beats god and using a reverse working contract with the first sense. It is a great ending for this video.

Actually it is a good video that showing good contrast and different angle shoots. Whole video showing a Gothic style dark and story line. The technic that editor used is also great by slow motion plus reverse showing a scary video.

Today I am gonna analysing a short video which is only 16 seconds long. But it has a lot of stuff we can learn. The most important part on this video is how to make sound fits your music.

Also the shoots even the man in this video is also meaning something. There are some shoots could teach us some technique.

This is the first shoot of this video which is a old man with eye. We can tell that is a strong tough old man by using camera focus the eye of him. That shoot tells us who the character is.

There are what amazing happened which is how to make your sound fits your music. The editor uses a puck rock song as background to fit the sound of machines and gears which is brilliant. Also the mechanic sound fit the beat of puck music as well. That is why this video grab my attention.

The last shoot of this video is a shoot from close to wild shows that a old tough mechanic with his bikes as background. It is also make a good contrast with first eye sense.

All video shows a blue cold environment which is fits the whole theme. Because all video shows man play with iron and tools. The reason why editor using blue cold colour is that he wants to stressing the whole theme.

 

Moving Image Week 7: Colour Theory

Colour theory is a very important part for photography and film. It is necessarily to know these knowledge when you starting learning photography and filming. The key point of this theory is how to adjust the colour when you citing films and photos.

There is a tool called Monochromatic which is all the colour in the same line and shows the colour in the same genre.

There is another tool called Complementary which is showing the colours of opposite way. And easily to see how to make the contrast colours in photography.

This is an amazing lighting video play with lights cutting and AE.

The reason why this video interested me is how he creates the lights flowing down from original objects. There are two main colours he used which is warming yellow and cold blue. These two colours can make great contrast that is the reason why he use these two.

The first time use contrast colour in the same sense which is red and green. Also it makes the whole sense feeling cold.

That is one of the most amazing sense in this video that he used effects of traffic light and the little cat also makes this sense more creative.The first two lights are kind of speeding up. But he plays as normal speed in the last red light part.

It is the most beautiful sense in this video. You can see different colour of light on the top of the shop. But he used warming yellow light on the bottom of the shop. Also the background is totally dark which makes a great contrast in this video.

This sense is kind of describe what flood looks like from a close shoot to a wild shoot. The first picture is how the flooding light push a blanket to the camera from front door. The second sense is a wild shoot of a house and family's back. He used slow motion and also dark background to making the contrast of lights.

I learned a lot of technique which is how to play with different colour of light and how to make great contrast by using light.
