Guernica, Pablo Picasso,1937
This is the famous painting made by Pablo Picasso.
I saw this painting when I was 10. In the first time I think it is horrible
because I was still stay in the level of lowest of art. But now I can tell lots
of information from this painting.
The picture has no plane, no
bomb, but aggregation brutality, terror, pain, despair, death
and cry. Broken flowers, fracture trampled body, holding
thedead child cry bitter
tears, his mother screaming for
help, already fell to the ground, Broke
back still holding
the sword fighter, dying neighing horses, cold
and sharp light. This is silent complaint against the
fascist atrocities, tear the sky. The painter used symbolism
and semi Abstract Cubist style, with the
Macros image combination, contains
aresentful protests, the achievements of
the epic tragedy. in black and white in the grey
block be reduced to
fragments, exudes endless gloom, fear, reflecting
the strong compassion for suffering artist.
This artwork still inspires me for improving my
artistic culture.
